A leading organisation within the manufacturing and engineering sector is seeking an energetic and organised Project Coordinator to provide administrative and operational support to their busy programme teams. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated professional to work across the full project lifecycle - from bid and development through to production, sales, closure, and disposals, while supporting key projects that make a real impact.
The Role
Reporting to the Project Management Office (PMO), you will work closely with Programme and Project Managers, collaborating with cross-functional teams such as Quality Engineering, Operations & Production, MRP, Finance, and Engineering. You'll be responsible for a variety of coordination and administrative tasks, ensuring projects remain on track, aligned with internal processes, and delivered on time.
Responsibilities:
- Scheduling and organising internal reviews, producing minutes, and tracking follow-up actions.
- Gathering data and documentation to support project gate reviews.
- Maintaining accurate records of progress, risks, and decisions.
- Monitoring and updating governance trackers, identifying deviations, and tracking corrective actions.
- Supporting the development of project management processes, dashboards, and reports.
- Assisting Project Managers with creating and updating Project Management Plans (PMPs).
- Preparing monthly and quarterly project reporting packs.
- Organising and supporting project meetings in line with project schedules.
- Reviewing and challenging cost reports, ensuring financial accuracy.
- Managing purchase requisitions and supporting invoicing processes.
- Tracking production and sales progress, highlighting risks and issues.
- Supporting non-major projects and site modernisation initiatives.
Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Project).
- Proven experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role.
- Experience in project support from inception to delivery.
- Knowledge of cost tracking, financial review, risk management, and quality control.
- Background in a manufacturing environment is an advantage.
- Minimum of 5 GCSEs at grade 4/C or above (including Maths & English).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and time management.
- Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
