We are looking for an experienced Scrum master, that has a background in Software Development, to join our clients Research & Development team.
The successful candidate will be leading a Software Scrum team to ensure that clients requirements are identified and translated into products as well as ensuring implementation is consistent and maintained.
Responsibilities:
- Work with project leadership to manage the execution of platform and product goals.
- Ensure broader, longer-term R&D vision is integrated into your team's approach to providing solutions, and feed back into that vision.
- Lead a Scrum team in management and delivery of a well-refined backlog of work with Scrum Master type activities.
- Support and mentor the team technically with architecture, development, code review and testing.
- Engage and support engagement across disciplines and teams to maintain project-wide velocity and consistency throughout R&D.
- Perform day-to-day line management of your software Scrum team.
- Manage the development of your line reports by driving the use of development plans and self-assessment tools, and by setting clear accountability and goals.
Experience:
- Undergraduate degree in relevant STEM subject, or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of C# development experience, including software architecture, design, requirements capture, and test
- Leadership and development skills
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies and requirements management tools, such as Jira or Azure DevOps
- Time management skills to deliver projects on time while maintaining team wellbeing and work/life balance
Desirable:
- Qualifications in Leadership and Management
- Previous line management experience
- An understanding of modern design patterns
