Job description
Due to an internal promotion, an opportunity for an experienced Warehouse Supervisor is now available in Malvern. This is a great opportunity for a motivated individual to take charge of a small warehouse and yard operations, supervising one Warehouse Operative and ensuring smooth, safe, and efficient handling of goods while driving continuous improvement.
The Role
As Warehouse Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing all day-to-day activities across the warehouse and yard. You'll play a critical role in stock control, transport coordination, and ensuring both incoming and outgoing deliveries are processed accurately. This hands-on leadership role requires a keen eye for detail, a proactive mindset, and strong organisational skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee warehouse and yard operations to uphold high standards.
- Coordinate all goods-in and goods-out processes with accuracy and efficiency.
- Supervise order preparation for internal and external customers.
- Manage transport and logistics for incoming and outgoing materials.
Maintain accurate and traceable stock records. - Monitor stock thresholds and coordinate timely replenishment.
- Lead regular stock takes and rolling inventory audits.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with customers and suppliers.
- Ensure exceptional communication and service levels are maintained.
- Enforce company policies, processes, and legal compliance.
- Promote and maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
- Work closely with warehouse operatives and cross-functional teams.
- Support and mentor junior staff where appropriate.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a warehouse supervisory role.
- Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Proficiency with warehouse systems and stock control software.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Solid understanding of health & safety in a warehouse environment.
- Valid forklift licence (or willingness to obtain).
Based in Malvern. Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm or 8:30am to 4:30pm.
Own Transport essential.
From £25,000 annual salary.
