Team Leader

A great temp to perm opportunity working with a highly successful manufacturing company in Droitwich.

Due to business expansion on its existing team, they require a new Team Leader to join the company - working a double days rotating shift pattern:

The hours for Double Days are: - Monday to Friday 06:00 to 14:00

Rotating to: Monday to Friday 14:00 to 22:00

The primary responsibility will be to manage operators. To direct and ensure resourcing of production to maximise efficiency and productivity in meeting departmental targets.

Duties of the roles involve:-

• Manage the team in line with the company policies and procedures
• Lead and be accountable for the team's deliverables in terms of quality, cost delivery and safety
• Liaise with other colleagues across the business to agree and achievable manufacturing plan for the team
• Assist in the development, implement and communicate "visual" measures of performance (KPI's)
• Implement a departmental plan to improve deliverables of the team
• Facilitate improvements in collaboration with internal and external experts
• To interface with internal and external customers as appropriate to deal with and resolve the team issues
• Coach and mentor team members through changes and improvements
• Ensure effective resource management in order to meet business needs
• Share best practice with other leaders throughout the business
• Escalate issues that pose risk to the team to the appropriate level in the business in a timely manner
• Ensure work standards are being set and followed
• Support the drive Continuous Improvement strategy
• Ensure that planned training have been completed and develop training plans as appropriate
• Increase employee engagement
• Provide cover for other team leaders and managers as and when required
• Comply with and support the EHS polices, processes and programmes
• Ensure EHS training is adhered to
• Support the Quality processes and programmes to drive the business performance
• Any other duties that may be reasonably required by the business

Previous Team Leading / Supervisory experience is essential, however direct job role experience is not.

PAY: £18.00 p/h BASIC (+ 12.5% shift allowance for DOUBLE DAYS )
