Location: Tewkesbury
Salary: £32,000 - £38,000
Hours: Full-time, Permanent

Our client is a leading precision engineering business supplying high-quality, complex components to the Oil & Gas, Aerospace, and Industrial sectors. Due to continued growth and investment, they are now seeking an experienced CNC Machinist (Turner) to join their operations team.

The Role
As a CNC Machinist (Turner), you will be responsible for setting, operating, and programming CNC Turning and Mill Turn machines to produce precision components within tight tolerances. Working as part of a collaborative production team, you'll ensure work is completed efficiently, accurately, and to customer specifications.
Key Responsibilities
Set, operate, and program CNC Turning and Mill Turn multi-axis machines
Produce high-quality precision components to detailed specifications and tight tolerances
Work to production schedules and agreed timescales
Liaise with supervisors and colleagues to ensure smooth workflow
Complete all necessary production documentation
Maintain a safe and tidy working environment
Skills & Experience Required
Essential:
Proven experience setting, operating, and programming CNC Turning or multi-axis machinery
Strong understanding of fixtures, tooling, feeds, and speeds for different materials
Knowledge of FANUC, Okuma, ISO, or Mazatrol programming
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
Experience using manual measuring equipment
Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing principles
Desirable:
Experience with live tooling
Familiarity with Victor, Hyundai, or Doosan machine tool lathes
Knowledge of CMM inspection and measuring techniques
CAD/CAM experience (SolidWorks, hyperMILL)
Apprentice trained with a recognised engineering qualification (City & Guilds, HNC, or equivalent)
